It is characterized by the sudden appearance of painful red plaques or papules, often accompanied by fever and an increased white blood cell count. The condition is believed to result from an abnormal immune response and may be triggered by medications, infections, or underlying diseases.
In this case, treatment with oral corticosteroids was started immediately, leading to rapid improvement within 48 hours. The patientβs pain decreased significantly, and the skin lesions began to resolve.
